Deluge systems

In contrast to standard sprinkler systems, in which only the heads within the area actually affected by the fire come into operation, deluge systems spray water irrespectively over an entire area. This makes deluge systems ideally suited to high fire-risk areas which cannot be satisfactorily protected by co conventional sprinkler systems. Furthermore, they can be used to form water curtains (around escalators and open staircases).

Water released is either controlled automatically by the fire detection system’s control unit or manually. The activation of a deluge system is announced at the main fire alarm panel.
